Welcome to LAVA CORNERS website terms and conditions of use. These apply to the use of this Website and by accessing this Website and/or placing an order via our Facebook page or Instagram and you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

BEFORE YOU ORDER
Before ordering please make sure that your door is a size that allows the packaged furniture to pass through. It is the customers responsibility to check the available space in the room and the door and corridor measurements before ordering your furniture. To check the packed measurements of the model you are interested in please contact us at: email@example.com
All prices displayed are inclusive of 23% V.A.T. If you are a Vat registered company or sole trader please give us your Vat number and we will be able to provide you with a Vat invoice.
We make every effort to display the colour of the furniture as accurately as possible, but as colour reproduction depends on your computer’s monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of the colour is accurate to the actual product. To help ensure that you purchase the sofa colour of your choice we will endeavour to send out fabric sample of your chosen colour. Please order your fabric samples here (link to form to order)
PLACING AN ORDER
After choosing the model you wish to purchase, you will be able to place an order as either a “guest” or a “user”. To place the order as “USER” you will need to create your account on our website.
To place the order you will need to choose the product/products and add them to the basket. You will need to fill in your details (name, surname, address, eircode, contact number) as a guest or log in to your account.
You will need to choose one of the following payment options:
- Full amount card payment
- Full amount paid by bank transfer
- Deposit of €400 for sofas and corner sofas by card on the website and remaining balance by cash to the driver on delivery
- Deposit of 50% of the total value of all other items excluding sofas and corner sofas
You will need to read and accept the Terms and Conditions before placing the order.
After placing your order you will receive a confirmation email. Should you have not received it, please check your Spam folder before contacting us.
IMPORTANT: when ordering please make sure that all access doors are large enough to allow the boxes to pass through. It is the customers responsibility to check the available space within the room and to check door and corridor measurements before ordering your sofa. Our aim is to deliver your purchase as quickly as possible. All orders have a processing time of 24 – 48 hours, and delivery is between 10 – 30 working days. We work very hard to make sure your sofa gets to you as soon as possible. The average waiting time is 4-6 weeks. However in current Covid-19 situation sometimes it may take a slightly longer.
We will deliver the products to the address specified in your order. It is customer’s responsibility to ensure that someone is available to accept delivery of the products. If there is no one available to accept delivery, the courier may have to leave the products in a safe place or return the products to us, and you may be charged an additional delivery fee.
The delivery driver is not obliged to bring the order into a customer’s house/flat. The driver may help you but there must be another adult person present to help with the delivery (2 adults if the flat is in a building without an elevator). However, the products will be at your risk from the time of delivery to your front door.
All delivered goods are to be assembled by the customer.
DELIVERY CHARGE IRELAND
We are happy to offer FREE DELIVERY in Ireland
However, deliveries to areas situated in hard to reach places may result in a slight additional charge. If this is the case our team will contact you and notify you of any additional charge within 48 hours after the order placement.
Products are subject to availability. We endeavour to deliver to the times specified above, however on rare occasions delays may occur which are outside of our control. If your ordered product is not available we will contact you with an expected delivery date.
Please note that items sold online will only be delivered to the address specified on your order. Once your order has been dispatched, we will contact you to inform you about an expected delivery date.
ON DELIVERY DAY
The delivery driver will contact you to schedule a delivery time.
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your goods upon delivery. When your order is delivered, you must check the contents thoroughly whilst the delivery person waits.
After inspection of delivered goods, the driver will give you your invoice and transport documents which you need to sign.
In the rare event that your parcel arrives damaged you have 2 options:
- Refuse the delivery.
- Accept the delivery but make your delivery driver aware of the damage and, when you sign for the goods, write “damaged’ alongside your signature on the delivery paperwork. You must take photographs and specify damages on the invoice and immediately contact Lava Store team by email: email@example.com or phone +353862146318
A signed delivery receipt, without notations of missing, damaged or incorrect item(s) represents your acceptance of the complete order in perfect condition.
When you receive goods that require assembly, prior to installing, it is very important that you check the instructions and any parts listed to ensure that you have all the relevant parts and that you assemble the product in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. We cannot refund products that have been wrongly fitted or be responsible for any consequences of mis-assembly of products.
Canceling the order/Return
European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 only apply to your order if the goods have not been custom made to your specification.
Custom made furniture is non-returnable.
A non custom made piece is the standard base model of any sofa which is made in the fabric “Sawana 21” as standard, and comes with standard feet. Any variations from this will be treated as a bespoke product.
If the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 do apply you can cancel your order by notifying us, in writing to: firstname.lastname@example.org before delivery or within 14 working days beginning with the day after the date of delivery.
The product must be returned within 14 days. Our policy is valid for 14 days. If you wish to return an item 14 days after your purchase, we can not offer a refund or an exchange.
Refund will be issued in 2 working days after receiving and inspecting returned item. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in an unused condition and in the original packaging.
Please note, you will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returns. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Please note that this return policy only applies to issues with the product itself and does not cover changes in personal taste or incorrect choices made by the customer. We recommend carefully reviewing the design and specifications of the product before placing an order to ensure that it meets your needs and expectations.
We offer a 24 month warranty.
Lava store is not a producer of goods. All goods available in the store are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
The warranty starts from the date of delivery and offers cover against manufacturing faults on the frame and spring construction.
All sofas purchased in Lava Store are meant for relaxing and sofas with sleeping function are meant for relaxing and occasional sleeping. Sofa beds are not meant to replace beds and therefore are not meant for everyday sleeping.
To avail of the warranty you must obey these rules:
- When unpacking do not use sharp tools as this may cause fabric damage.
- Sitting or standing on the headrests, armrests, backrests is forbidden.
- Jumping on any part of the sofa is forbidden.
- Stuffing too many bed clothes/blankets or other items in the storage box is forbidden.
- Sofa must be kept in the room with temperature not lower than 15 degrees Celsius.
- Due to the protection used in transportation, there may be some creases or slight deformations visible on the sofa/fabric. This will disappear after a few days.
- When moving the sofa you must lift it up, NEVER pull it or push it.
NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY:
Manual damages like scratches and cuts on wood, fabric, legs, broken frames, springs, boards which happened after the goods were delivered and checked.
Slight fabric stretch is natural and not covered by warranty.
Due to the use of foam fillers the final product measurements may be off by 5cm comparing to the measurements on the website.
Warranty does not apply to products that have been stored incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned by incorrect cleaning methods or incorrect cleaning products.
Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear (deterioration or depreciation in the value of the products by ordinary and reasonable use), cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents. The warranty does not apply if a product has been placed outdoors or in a humid environment or if the products have been used for non-domestic purposes (unless otherwise stated).
The warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages
Visible surface damage (scratches, nicks, tears, etc.) are not covered under this warranty
How to get covered:
You will need to take photographs of the faults/damages and email them to email@example.com with a description of the problem. Our team will then decide whether the damage is covered by warranty. On some occasions Lava Store will send out a person to examine the furniture at a customers home to check if the damage was caused by a production fault.
If considered covered by this limited warranty, Lava Store through its own service operations, will then, at its sole discretion, either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product.
If it is covered by this warranty, Lava Store will pay the costs of repairs, spare parts, and labour. This does not apply to any repair work not authorised by Lava Store.
If a repair cannot be carried out in a customers home, Lava Store will organise collection and will bring the item back to the manufacturer to be repaired and will then deliver the repaired item back to the customer free of charge. Lava Store does not offer a replacement sofa for the time of repairing the damaged sofa.
