How to measure your room for a corner sofa
A few careful measurements will show which sofa fits comfortably and whether it can reach the room on delivery day.
Measure the sofa footprint
1. Measure both wall lengths
Measure from the corner along each wall. Note the maximum width and depth in centimetres.
2. Mark the door swing
Check where every door opens and make sure the sofa will not block it. Mark radiators, sockets and other fixed features too.
3. Check delivery access
Measure the front door, hallway, stair width, landings and tight turns. Include the narrowest point and the ceiling height above stairs.
Leave room to move
Keep at least 90 cm of clear walkway around the main route through the room. Painter's tape on the floor is an easy way to see the full sofa footprint before you order.
