These terms and conditions apply to all purchases made through lavacorners.ie. By placing an order you agree to be bound by these terms.
Before you order
Please measure carefully before ordering. Check that all doorways, hallways and staircases on the route to your room are wide enough to allow the packaged sofa to pass through. If you are not sure whether your sofa will fit through the door, just ask. Email us at welcome@lavacorners.ie with the model name and we will confirm the box dimensions before you order.
Dimensions listed on each product page are the assembled sofa dimensions. If you need the box or packaging dimensions for your specific model, contact us at welcome@lavacorners.ie before ordering and we will confirm them.
We make every effort to display fabric colours accurately. However colours may appear slightly different on screen compared to the actual product. We strongly recommend ordering free fabric samples before placing your order so you can see and feel the fabric at home in your own lighting.

Placing an order
Ordering is simple. Choose your sofa, pick your fabric, colour and configuration, and you are done. No account needed, no complicated forms.
We just need your name, delivery address, Eircode and phone number so we can get your sofa to you.
After you order, Joanna calls you personally on the next working day to go through everything before production begins. That call is your chance to ask anything, change anything, or cancel completely, free of charge.
Payment options
You can pay a refundable €299 deposit today and the balance before delivery, or pay the full amount upfront if you prefer.
Either way, your payment is processed securely through Stripe and your card details are never stored anywhere on our side. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of payment security available.
After placing your order you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive it within one hour please check your spam folder.
Cancellations
Changed your mind? No problem.
You can cancel free of charge any time before production begins and get your full deposit back within 5 working days.
Joanna calls you personally after every order, that is the moment to cancel or make any changes, with no cost and no awkward questions.
Once your sofa goes into production and materials have been cut and ordered for you, we ask you to honour the order.
Returns
Every sofa we make is built specifically for you, your fabric, your colour, your configuration. That is what makes it special. Here is how returns work depending on which fabric you chose.
Standard fabric orders
Each sofa model has one Standard fabric assigned to it (Wind, Primo, Wave, Mono, Verita, Velo, Spring or Toro), and its available colour options are shown as swatches directly under that model on the product page. An order qualifies as a Standard returnable order only when it is placed in that model’s assigned Standard fabric and in one of the colours shown as a selectable swatch on the product page.
Ordered in a Standard fabric? You have 14 days from delivery to let us know if you want to return it. The sofa needs to be unused and in its original condition.

A €149 collection fee applies and is deducted from your refund. Refunds land within 5 working days of us collecting the sofa.
Family Friendly and Plush Comfort Velvet fabric orders
Chose a Family Friendly or Plush Comfort Velvet fabric? That upgrade was chosen specifically by you for your sofa. Because it is personalised to your order, it cannot be returned unless something is genuinely wrong with it.
This is exactly why we offer free fabric samples, so you can touch and feel the fabric at home before you commit to anything.
Faulty or damaged goods
If your sofa arrives with any damage or manufacturing fault, photograph it immediately and contact us within 48 hours of delivery at welcome@lavacorners.ie or 086 214 6318.
Your rights are fully protected. If something is wrong, we fix it, repair, replacement or refund. Always, and at no cost to you.
Delivery
We offer free delivery across Ireland on all orders.
Processing and production time: 4 to 6 weeks from order confirmation.
How we keep costs low for you
Our standard delivery is to your front door, and that is how we keep Lava Corners sofas priced the way they are. Most furniture retailers include in-home delivery in the price without telling you, which means you pay for it whether you need it or not.
With us, you only pay for what you actually need.
If you would like your sofa carried inside and placed in your room, we offer an in-home delivery service for an additional charge. Just let Joanna know when she calls you after your order and she will arrange it and give you a price.
For standard front-door delivery, please have two adults available on the day to carry the boxes in.
The delivery driver will contact you one day before delivery to schedule a delivery time.
On delivery day, please inspect all items before signing the delivery paperwork. If any damage is visible, write "damaged" next to your signature and contact us immediately with photographs.
Deliveries to remote or hard to reach locations may incur an additional charge. If this applies to your address we will contact you within 48 hours of your order.
Warranty
Every sofa comes with a 24-month warranty on the frame and spring construction. If something goes wrong through no fault of your own, we will sort it.
The warranty covers manufacturing faults, not normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or damage from cleaning with the wrong products. If you are not sure whether something is covered, just email us and we will take a look.
Sofa beds are designed for occasional sleeping and are not intended to replace a bed for everyday use.
To make a warranty claim, photograph the fault and email welcome@lavacorners.ie with a description. We will respond within 3 working days.
If covered under warranty, Lava Corners will at its discretion repair or replace the defective product at no cost to you.
Your rights under Irish and EU law
These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law. You are always fully protected.
